About this role
NeuroRestorative, part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people with brain, spinal cord, and medically complex injuries. Registered Nurses offer nursing services, training, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, substance abuse, or behavioral challenges. Programs span vocational therapy, day treatments, and specialized care for infants, children, veterans, and more.
The Registered Nurse conducts medical assessments for program referrals and collaborates on community placements. They develop and supervise service plans, including nursing care components, while ensuring records meet regulatory standards. Medication administration and physician coordination are key daily tasks.
In a home-like setting at the Pleasanton facility, the RN oversees high-risk conditions, attends doctor visits, and provides technical assistance on durable medical equipment. They deliver medical skills training to staff, mentors, and families via flow charts and orientations. Participation in on-call rotation and committees supports team efforts.
As a per diem role with one mandatory weekly shift, the position offers flexible engagement in interdisciplinary teams like IHP/POC without supervisory duties. Nurses promote health, wellness, and prevention protocols tailored to individual needs. This fosters direct impact in community-based rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Ability to conduct medical assessments and develop nursing care plans
- Knowledge of medication administration and documentation standards
- Experience maintaining medical records per regulatory requirements
- Skills in training staff and families on medical procedures
- Familiarity with care for developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral challenges
- Competence in operating durable medical equipment and home care consultation
- Ability to participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical assessments of individuals referred to the program and collaborate with Intake staff on placement
- Participate in development and implementation of service plans and supervise medical components
- Ensure medical records, reports, medication administration records, and physician orders are current and complete
- Maintain contact with primary care physicians and specialists, attend doctor visits as directed
- Administer medications according to guidelines and document all administrations
- Oversee management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services
- Develop training flow charts and provide medical skills training to clients, staff, and families
- Participate in Individual Health Plan (IHP) or Plan of Care (POC) teams and generate health protocols
Benefits

- Base pay of $45.00-$50.00/hour
- OT rate of $67.50-$75.00
