About this role

We are looking for a registered Nurse to join our Ward team at Fulwood Hall Hospital in Preston. Working as part of the wider clinical team, you will provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care.

As a strong communicator with exceptional standards for customer service, you will adhere to all of Ramsay's policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes. You will be a strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration
  • Previous experience working within a surgical ward
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • A warm, considerate and empathetic character
  • Due to the contract being 12 month fixed term, we are unable to support newly qualified applications or preceptorships for this position

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care as part of the wider clinical team
  • Adhere to all of Ramsay's policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the clinical team, maintaining exceptional customer service standards
  • Work collaboratively within the ward team and independently when required to deliver safe, high-quality care
  • Act as a strong advocate for the Ramsay Way and the 'People Caring for People' philosophy
  • Support the pre-operative assessment and screening of patients prior to surgery
  • Maintain rigorous infection control standards, contributing to the hospital's 0% MRSA incidence
