UHS Binghamton General Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Surgical Services team. This role provides safe, compassionate, and efficient perioperative care, supporting exceptional patient outcomes across the surgical continuum.
You will protect, promote, and optimize patient health throughout the perioperative experience, emphasizing patient advocacy and clinical excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons, monitoring patient vitals, and maintaining a sterile field while documenting care accurately.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting (preferred)
- CCRN certification (preferred)
- Relevant skills certification (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by assigned unit (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient perioperative care across the surgical continuum
- Protect, promote, and optimize patient health throughout the perioperative experience
- Act as a patient advocate while adhering to professional nursing standards
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment
- Assist surgeons during procedures and monitor patient vital signs
- Document perioperative care accurately and thoroughly
- Educate patients and their families on surgical processes and post-operative care
