Brave Health

US · Full-time · $125,000 – $135,000

About this role

At Brave Health, we transform lives by expanding access to compassionate mental health care using technology, especially for Medicaid patients where providers often fall short. Our Nurse Practitioner assesses mental and physical health, collaborates on treatment plans, conducts psychotherapy, diagnoses disorders, and prescribes medications. We ensure no one is left behind in accessing affordable care.

NPs spend 75% of time on treatment planning, implementing plans with the interdisciplinary team, prescribing psychotropic medications including controlled substances, and monitoring usage and side effects. They conduct individual psychotherapy for chronic or acute disorders and educate patients and families on conditions and treatments. Verbal de-escalation supports work with difficult patients.

Patient assessment and diagnosis take 10% of time, distinguishing physiologically- from psychologically-based disorders and ordering tests like EKGs or labs. Compliance and documentation, 15% of role, requires accurate EHR entries of histories, assessments, plans, and outcomes while adhering to HIPAA and standards. Consult Clinical Director for guidance as needed.

Join a community health-centered team breaking barriers to mental health treatment wherever patients are. Work remotely to deliver life-changing care, evaluating treatment effectiveness and partnering with clients toward goals. Advance access for underserved adults with mental health and addiction needs.
