The Registered Nurse serves as a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts, responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in the Burn Trauma ICU. Develops comprehensive educational plans for patients and families, along with discharge plans utilizing community resources. Provides a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, administering medications and performing procedures safely.

Participates actively in unit-based and organizational quality improvement programs. Evaluates the effectiveness of care plans, revising as needed to achieve outcomes. Upholds the A.N.A. code of ethics, acting as a role model and contributing to unit goals at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Requirements

Registered professional nurse in Massachusetts
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing for newly licensed nurses
Initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs
Ability to effectively manage full responsibility for patient assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation
Knowledge of growth and development of adult and geriatric patients
Awareness of potential infection risks and utilization of universal precautions
Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment safely and efficiently
