About this role

Perform psychiatric evaluations, prescribe psychotropic medication, and provide medication management for clinically robust clientele at BRC. Attend to emergent client clinical needs through case conferences and crisis intervention. Report to VP of Nursing for clinical supervision.

Guide LPNs when needed and work alongside program managers to design program improvement policies and procedures. Participate in strategic planning efforts and assist agency's incident review and training committees. Provide emergency first aid/CPR as required.

Requirements

  • NYS certification as a mental health psychiatric nurse practitioner required
  • Excellent emergency response and interpersonal skills a must
  • Good writing skills and computer literacy needed
  • Prior experience working with the mentally ill and/or substance abuse population preferred
  • CPR/AED/first aid/naloxone certifications or willingness to be trained required
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Vaccination preferred but not required
