PACCAR, a Global Fortune 500 company and leader in the commercial vehicle industry, is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse (LPN/RN) for its Dynacraft division in McKinney, TX. This role is part of a dedicated occupational health team serving employees at a facility that performs assembly, light manufacturing, and distribution for PACCAR truck plants.

In this role, you will treat minor illnesses and injuries, provide immediate emergency care, and coordinate with supervisors or consulting physicians for referrals and transportation. You will also conduct substance abuse screenings, maintain medical supplies and records, and issue protective equipment to support a safe workplace.

You will work independently as an organized member of the health team, providing health education, counseling, and preventive wellness services. Your responsibilities include compiling accident statistics, maintaining injury logs, and communicating with attending physicians as part of disability management and workers' compensation processes.

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential
  • Experience in occupational health or a clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Treat minor illness or injury and provide immediate emergency care, coordinating with supervisor or consulting physician for referral and transportation
  • Provide substance abuse screening
  • Maintain drug and medical supplies, issue protective equipment, and maintain related medical records
  • Provide health education, counseling, and support the delivery of the site's preventive wellness services
  • Compile accident statistics, maintain injury/illness logs, and collect attendance data
  • Communicate with attending physicians as part of the disability management process and workers compensation
  • Respond timely to safety items, audit findings, employee concerns, and near misses
  • Conduct benchmarking activities of other PACCAR and non-PACCAR plant employees
