About this role

KidsCare Home Health is hiring registered nurses for private duty nursing in Idaho. Our team provides collaborative care between nurses and therapists to ensure quality outcomes for children from birth to 18 years old.

Nurses deliver direct patient care in the home, managing conditions such as seizures, g-button, oxygen, trach, vent, and total care. Shifts are flexible with AM and PM options, and we offer an open schedule to fit your lifestyle.

Requirements

  • Current State Nursing License (RN or LPN) or compact license where applicable.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Reliable transportation to office and patients' homes.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stand, stoop, sit, twist, talk, and hear regularly.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and support up to 50 pounds (e.g., position patient, move equipment, ambulate patient).
  • One year of home health experience preferred.
  • One year of pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in their home according to the active plan of care.
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document timely, clear, and accurate clinical notes.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention details.
  • Notify the RN Case Manager of any changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure quality care and achieve individual goals.
  • Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures.
  • Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
