About this role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room (OR) Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for all nursing activities within the Operating Theatres and Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU). They will work closely with the CSSD team to ensure seamless theatre operations.

Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient care and managing surgical scheduling. Oversee staffing, duty rosters, and operational planning to maintain smooth patient flow across perioperative stages. Ensure effective communication among the OR team.

Promote teamwork and collaboration within the OR team while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain strict aseptic standards, implement infection prevention and control (IPC) policies, and oversee cleaning of patient care areas. Coordinate equipment maintenance with biomedical teams.

Support team development through meetings, training, and feedback sessions. Monitor patient feedback and participate in staff performance evaluations. Oversee proper cleaning, processing, and storage of surgical instruments.

Requirements

  • BSN or Diploma in Nursing from a qualified, recognised institution
  • Post Basic Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing
  • Five years of nursing experience preferred
  • Operating room experience desirable
  • Valid practising certificate
