Requirements

Massachusetts Registered Nurse required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; experience in lieu accepted
Prior ICU experience required
Cardiac surgery, heart transplant, VAD, CVVH, IABP, Impella, ECMO experience preferred
Evidence of basic analytic thinking to care for a group of patients
Observational skills and ability to set priorities
Ability to function under stress with interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

Plan and provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care
Assume full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
Demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs
Manage post-cardiac surgery patients including heart transplant and VAD cases
Monitor and support patients on CVVH, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
Set priorities and function under stress in the Cardiac Surgery ICU
