About this role

Hennepin Healthcare is an integrated system of care that includes HCMC, a nationally recognized Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Knapp Rehab unit, a 473-bed academic medical center.

Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care. This includes protecting, promoting, and optimizing health, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response.

This position is a 0.75 FTE (5 shifts/pay period), with 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend rotation. You will partner with patients, their families, and significant others to deliver individualized care in a supportive rehabilitation environment.

Requirements

  • 1 year of RN experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Protect, promote, and optimize health for patients in the Knapp Rehab unit.
  • Prevent illness and injury through proactive nursing interventions.
  • Alleviate suffering through the treatment of the human response to illness.
  • Partner with patients, their families, and significant others in care delivery.
  • Document nursing interventions and an individualized plan of care.
  • Provide and coordinate nursing care under general supervision within a Patient and Family Centered Care model.
