About this role
We are looking for a compassionate LPN or RN to join our team as a Care Nurse Supervisor at Benchmark Senior Living in Rye. Your main role will be to deliver nursing care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.
You will work part-time first shift from 6 am to 2 pm every other weekend, with a pay rate of $36 to $44 per hour. In this role, you will accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status, working closely with a dedicated team of like-minded individuals who build community through support and camaraderie.
The position involves supervising and mentoring Resident Care Assistants, coordinating care needs with community providers, and ensuring resident safety and independence. Requirements
- Current state license as an LPN or RN and CPR certification.
- Graduate of an approved LPN or RN program per state requirements.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred.
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.
- Ability to accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
- Capability to direct and supervise daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
Responsibilities
- Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
- Observe and report any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
- Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
- Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
- Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
- Effectively balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
- Recognize and assist in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report to appropriate sources per state regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system, knowing when to call for backup.
