About this role

Medical Associates is seeking an energetic LPN or RN to join as an Employee Health Nurse, partnering closely with Tri-State Occupational Health and Human Resources to support employee health, safety, and well-being across all locations.

In this hybrid role, you'll spend 50% of your time onsite (primarily at Tri-State Occupational Health, with travel to other Medical Associates locations) and 50% remote after full training. Your schedule is Monday–Friday, 4–4.5 days per week, with flexibility to work up to 5 days during peak periods.

You will manage employee immunizations, screenings, and health programs, coordinate care for workplace injuries and illnesses, and assist with return-to-work plans. Additionally, you'll conduct ergonomic assessments, follow up on incident reports, and help maintain accurate employee health records and documentation.

You'll participate in Safety and Infection Control Committees, support ongoing improvement initiatives, and stay current on best practices to help implement new programs and procedures. This role offers the chance to shape employee wellness and safety across a multi-site healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • Active RN or LPN license (Iowa or multistate)
  • 2+ years of nursing experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
  • Interest in occupational/employee health (experience preferred but not required)
  • Self-starter with strong initiative
  • Organized with excellent follow-through
  • Problem-solver with critical thinking skills
  • Strong communicator and presenter
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Support employees through workplace injuries, illnesses, or exposures and help coordinate return-to-work plans
  • Manage employee immunizations, screenings, and health-related programs
  • Assist with workplace safety and infection prevention initiatives through training, education, and support
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and follow up on employee incident reports and trends
  • Maintain employee health records and related documentation
  • Participate in Safety and Infection Control Committees and help support ongoing improvement efforts
  • Stay current on employee health and workplace safety best practices and help implement new programs and procedures
  • Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
