Backpack Healthcare

Remote · Full-time · $120,000 – $160,000

About this role

Backpack Healthcare is reimagining mental health care for children, teens, and young adults through a clinician-led, minority-owned organization built on the belief that when clinicians thrive, kids thrive. We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality, compassionate psychiatric care via a collaborative telehealth model.

In this role, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and prescribe and manage psychotropic medications for young patients. You will also provide supportive therapy, brief interventions, and psycho-education to promote emotional health and resilience in a fully remote setting.

You will partner closely with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators to ensure coordinated, patient-centered treatment, participating in case reviews and interdisciplinary meetings. Our team values integrity, innovation, and integrated care delivery, honoring both the provider and the patient in every interaction.

We offer purpose-driven work in a forward-thinking mental health movement, with flexible part-time or full-time scheduling and a competitive fee-for-service pay structure. Join us to break barriers, heal young minds, and lighten the invisible backpack we all carry.
