About this role
NCN Health is seeking a District Nurse - Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The role involves taking an active part in coordinating and providing health management education and information related to community nursing to clients and the wider community. It also includes direct and indirect supervision and support for District Nurse Students to meet service needs.
In daily work, deliver high-level community nursing care such as wound management best practice, intravenous access devices, medication administration, negative pressure wound therapy, stoma care, and catheter care. Operate independently without direct supervision while contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment. Ensure ongoing service provision across NCN Health sites.

Requirements
- Vaccination against seasonal Influenza (mandatory)
- Vaccination against Covid-19 (recommended)
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
- High level of competence in community nursing including wound management, intravenous access devices, medication administration, negative pressure wound therapy, stoma care and catheter care
- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision within a multidisciplinary team environment
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide health management education and information related to community nursing to clients

- Manage intravenous access devices and medication administration
- Apply negative pressure wound therapy, stoma care, and catheter care
- Provide direct and indirect supervision and support for District Nurse Students
