Requirements

Graduate degree in Nursing (Doctoral degree preferred)
Active registered nurse license in good standing in Colorado
Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in psychiatric mental health specialty
Active Colorado APRN license
Prescriptive authority for faculty practice (if engaged in faculty practice)

Responsibilities

Curriculum planning and evaluation for psychiatric mental health nursing courses
Evaluate student learning through grading, coaching, mentoring, and competency assessments
Plan courses with teaching team using strategies like lecture, flipped classroom, and case studies
Provide clinical supervision including student and preceptor meetings and evaluation of assignments
Engage in scholarship using Boyer's model: teaching, discovery, integration, and application
Participate in service learning activities with students and serve on school, college, and university committees
Contribute to recruitment and retention activities at all levels
