About this role

Adventist Medical Group seeks an experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. This role offers a day shift schedule with a mix of four 8-hour days and one 12-hour shift per week.

In this position, you will diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses within the ARNP scope of practice, as well as non-work-related injuries and illnesses requiring limited follow-up. You will monitor treatment courses, make referrals to other healthcare providers, and coordinate care and case management in collaboration with medical consultants, rehabilitation providers, attorneys, and supervisors.

You will also perform fitness-for-duty evaluations and screenings, including modified duty assessments and return-to-work protocols. The role involves working within a supportive, faith-based healthcare system that has served the Maryland community for over a century.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Master's degree and postgraduate training in a clinical specialty required
  • 2 years' clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) and state authority for advanced practice required
  • Current Maryland license from the Board of Nursing
  • Maintain eligibility to participate in the Medicare Program

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses within the ARNP scope of practice
  • Monitor course of treatment and make referrals to other health care providers as necessary
  • Coordinate care and case management, including collaboration with medical consultants, rehabilitation providers, attorneys, the employee's supervisor, and the employee
  • Diagnose and treat non-work-related injury and illness that requires limited follow up and falls under ARNP scope of practice
  • Perform fitness for duty evaluation and screening, including modified duty and appropriate restrictions as warranted by evaluation
  • Manage unable-to-work and return-to-work protocols
  • Initiate therapy for conditions within the ARNP scope of practice
