Using the Nursing Process, the Licensed Practical Nurse plans, implements, directs, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. You will provide patient care based on scientific principles and evidence-based practice.

Working collaboratively with all other disciplines on the assigned unit, you will implement physician orders accurately and recognize changes in patient condition. Prioritizing nursing actions reflects patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.

Requirements

Valid LPN nursing license required
Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
Prior experience working with wound care patients preferred (will train)
Experience with billing and coding preferred
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Knowledge of infection control and wound care best practices

Responsibilities

Provide patient care based on scientific principles, nursing theory, and evidence-based practice
Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames
Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
Prioritize nursing actions reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes
Assess wounds, apply dressings, and monitor healing progress
Document patient care and wound status in accordance with facility protocols
Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare team members to coordinate care
