About this role
Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our dialysis team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of dialysis procedures as prescribed, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and safety.
Your day-to-day duties will include assessing patients' hemodynamic status before dialysis, monitoring vascular access and comorbid illnesses, and overseeing the entire treatment from start to finish. You will check vital signs, evaluate patient reactions to treatment and medications, and educate patients about their disease and its management.
As part of a collaborative dialysis team, you will maintain close liaison with the Nephrologist, follow their instructions, and promptly communicate any changes in patient status. You will also supervise dialyzer reprocessing, disinfect hemodialysis machines, and maintain accurate patient records for medical auditing.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid nursing license
- Experience in dialysis or critical care nursing preferred
- Ability to assess hemodynamic status and manage vascular access
- Knowledge of dialysis procedures, prescription, and complications management
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records and medical auditing
- Strong patient education skills regarding disease and treatment
- Ability to work collaboratively with nephrologists and the dialysis team
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of dialysis procedures as per prescription
- Assess hemodynamic status, indication of dialysis, vascular access, and any comorbid illness before starting dialysis
- Monitor dialysis prescription, care of vascular access, adequacy of flow, and complications during treatment
- Maintain liaison with and follow instructions of the Nephrologist, and convey any new events or changes in patient status
- Supervise dialyzer reprocessing and disinfect hemodialysis machines as per required rooms
- Check patients' vital signs, evaluate their reaction to treatment and medications, and educate them about their disease
- Oversee the dialysis treatment from start to finish, ensuring correct medications are administered
- Prime dialyzer and bloodlines, and support the entire dialysis team in delivering quality care
