About this role

Total Behavioral Health, part of Total Primary Care, is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide virtual care supporting Texas-based mental health patients. This role offers a refreshing approach to patient care where providers enjoy autonomy and have a voice in shaping the practice.

In this hybrid position, you will develop and implement patient management plans, maintain timely and accurate records in the EMR, and ensure compliance with all HIPAA protocols. Your day-to-day focus is on making our patients' day, delivering proactive care that is anything but transactional.

Requirements

  • PMHNP Certification or PA-C with Psych. Certification
  • Texas medical board licensure/APRN with active state license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a mental health setting
  • No current or pending malpractice lawsuits
  • Active Controlled Substance Registration
  • Active DEA Certificate preferred, but not required
  • Team player with a positive attitude and high attention to detail
  • Comfortable around computers and able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

  • Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans
  • Maintain timely and accurate records in EMR and adhere to all HIPAA protocols
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
  • Sound medical decision-making abilities in a mental health setting
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops and professional publications
