In this unique Community Nurse role, you will provide clinical advice to DVA business areas to enable them to assist clients and their families and advocates. You will respond to requests from DVA business areas, treating health providers, and community nursing providers.

This full-time permanent role can be based at the DVA office in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra. You will be part of Bupa's service offering that assists the Department of Veterans' Affairs by providing high-quality clinical advice.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Experience in community nursing or clinical advisory roles
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement
  • Ability to provide high-quality clinical advice in a government or healthcare setting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex clinical scenarios
  • Proficiency in using clinical information systems and documentation standards

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical advice to DVA business areas to enable them to assist clients and client families/advocates
  • Provide clinical advice to requests received from DVA business areas, treating health providers, including community nursing providers and other nursing queries
  • Provide clinical nursing advice to complaints and clinical incidents
  • Contribute to policy development and program development activities
  • Support the Department of Veterans' Affairs in meeting the Nation's commitment to care for veterans and the Defence service community
