Corewell Health Urgent Care seeks talented, patient-oriented Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service by putting patients' needs first. Our team ensures uncompromising medical care with convenience and compassion.
In this role, you will plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care for adults and children in cooperation with center physicians. You will adhere to the highest standards of patient satisfaction while providing care that complies with professional bylaws and policies.
You will serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff, maintaining accurate records and completing necessary documentation to support patient care and reimbursement. Participation in meetings and activities that support urgent care operations is expected.
This position reports to the Regional Medical Director or Area Clinical Operations Director. Becoming a team member is not just a job; it's a meaningful purpose—to ensure patients and team members feel valued and well cared for.
Requirements
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Michigan
- Current DEA registration
- Must be DOT certified
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (will be provided if needed)
Responsibilities
- Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children, in cooperation with center physicians
- Adhere to the service and courtesy standards by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
- Provide patient care within the respective clinical area, complying with Professional Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations, and Corewell Health Urgent Care policies and procedures
- Serve as a resource for patient, family, and staff needs
- Provide an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintain accurate, complete records in an acceptable manner
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
- Participate in meetings and activities required to support urgent care operations
- Participate in activities that enhance professional development and maintain certifications including BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS as required
