About this role

The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. This role requires initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs, particularly in the NICU. The nurse assumes full responsibility for assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Daily responsibilities include organizing patient care by setting priorities for patients with varying acuity and maintaining continuity through clear communication. The nurse documents care clearly and completely, develops comprehensive plans based on assessments, and evaluates effectiveness while revising as needed. Medication administration, procedures, and equipment use follow established safety policies.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse in Massachusetts
  • Level II, III, or IV NICU experience preferred
  • Pediatric ICU experience preferred
  • Knowledge of growth and development applicable to the neonate
  • Ability to manage patients with complex needs
  • Demonstrates initiative and clinical skills
  • For newly licensed nurses, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for specific patient assignments
