Since 2012, Giving Home Health Care has supported individuals impacted by health conditions related to nuclear facility work for the Department of Energy. We provide personalized in-home care across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. Join our fast-growing team as a compassionate RN or LPN.

This 1099 contract role involves administering patient care per physician-established plans in the patient's residence. Care for a high acuity patient requiring 144 hours weekly across 12-hour shifts split among 3-4 nurses. Open shifts include Tuesday-Sunday nights 2000-0800, Sunday-Tuesday days 0800-2000, and Wednesday-Saturday days 0800-2000.

Advocate one-on-one for patients while collaborating with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and physicians. Thrive in a mission-driven, collaborative environment that puts patients first. Offers require passing a background check.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
  • Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Current CPR certification
  • TB test and physical examination
  • Maintain required insurance
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
  • Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home

Responsibilities

  • Execute physician prescribed plans of care
  • Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record
  • Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies
  • Conduct patient assessments, coordination of care
  • Monitor vitals and GI intake and output
  • Assess skin integrity and administer wound care
  • Monitor for changes in the patient’s condition such as weight loss/gain, self-care abilities, and indicators of disease progression
  • Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of the patients
