About this role

With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care, the Clinical Practice Leader RN uses the nursing process to value the uniqueness of each individual. This role addresses the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of diverse patients served by Jefferson Health. It demonstrates advanced preparation and high professional competence in Intensive Care Nursery.

The leader applies a wide range of alternatives and strategies in problem-solving situations utilizing the nursing process. Promotes and supports evidence-based practice across clinical activities. Integrates clinical expertise with patient and family preferences for optimal healthcare delivery.

Interacts with co-workers, patients, families, and staff consistent with Jefferson values. Partners with patients and designated care partners to identify learning needs and provide affirming education. Minimizes risk of harm through established nursing practices and protocols.

Facilitates staff orientation, continuous education, and competency development. Responsible for Q&S NSI responsibilities, including reviewing data and action plans. Promotes staff professional development in a full-time 40 HPW day position.

Requirements

  • 3 years of Acute Care Hospital experience
  • Intensive Care Nursery experience preferred
  • BSN required
  • BLS required
  • MSN preferred
  • Advanced preparation and high degree of professional competence in specialized nursing field
  • Ability to apply wide range of alternatives and strategies in problem-solving using nursing process

Responsibilities

  • Interact with co-workers, patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Integrate Evidence-Based Practice, clinical expertise, patients, their family/designated care partner(s) preferences and cultural beliefs for optimal healthcare
  • Partner with patients, their family/designated care partner(s) in identifying learning needs and priorities and provide education in useful, understandable ways
  • Minimize risk of harm to patients and others by following established nursing practices and protocols
  • Facilitate orientation and continuous education of staff, including competency assessments
  • Manage Q&S NSI responsibilities, reviewing data, action plans, etc.
  • Promote staff professional development
