About this role

This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level neonatal intensive care as part of NewYork-Presbyterian's expanding pediatric transport team. You will care for critically ill newborns in the 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at NYP/Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns.

In addition to NICU duties, you will transport critical neonatal patients throughout the tri-state area via ground ambulance, working collaboratively with the Critical Care Paramedic Team. This ensures neonatal patients receive care in the hospital setting most appropriate to their clinical needs and proximity to their community.

You will work alongside leading physicians, surgeons, and specialists in a compassionate culture of care and caring. The role offers flexible scheduling, shared clinical decision-making, and inspirational leadership from supportive colleagues.

This is a full-time night shift position at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center that requires travel in an ambulance. Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Requirements

  • At least two years of acute care neonatal RN experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Current New York State RN license
  • Pediatric or Neonatal Transport experience
  • NRP certification preferred
  • PALS certification preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • New Jersey Licensure preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level neonatal intensive care for newborns in need of extra support within the 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Transport critical neonatal patients throughout the tri-state area for all New York Presbyterian campuses via ground ambulance
  • Collaborate with the Critical Care Paramedic Team during neonatal patient transports
  • Ensure neonatal patients receive care in the hospital setting most appropriate to their clinical needs with consideration to proximity of their community
  • Work rotating weekends and holidays as part of the night shift schedule
