This per diem position offers a starting hourly pay of $65.00 and includes malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Per diem team members are not eligible for PTO or holidays but benefit from travel expense support for those outside commutable distance. Requirements

Current APRN National Specialty Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Active Colorado APRN license or ability to obtain prior to start.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a NNP post clinical rotations.
Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Demonstrated clinical competence in Level III NICU care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU setting.
Perform daily assessments, develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with neonatologists.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, adjust therapies as needed based on patient response.
Perform neonatal procedures including intubation, umbilical line placement, and lumbar punctures.
Educate and support families regarding their infant's condition, care plan, and discharge needs.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
Work 24-hour inhouse shifts at Children's Hospital Colorado to ensure continuity of care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including nurses, respiratory therapists, and specialists.
