About this role

Red Lily Health Board Aboriginal Corporation is a regional health service committed to empowering Aboriginal people across West Arnhem. We deliver culturally safe, community-controlled healthcare to improve long-term health outcomes for children, families, and communities.

In this Darwin-based role, you will lead regional child health programs including screening, immunisation, and health checks across four unique West Arnhem communities. You will coordinate school screening programs and support remote clinical teams through mentoring and training.

Working collaboratively with Health Centre Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will travel regularly to Gunbalanya, Jabiru, Minjilang, and Warruwi. These communities are home to strong Aboriginal cultures, diverse languages, and breathtaking landscapes, offering a truly rewarding remote health experience.

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive experience in child health and remote clinical practice
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal health and culturally safe care
  • Experience in primary health care programs and remote service delivery
  • Proven leadership, training, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver culturally safe, family-centred care across remote communities
  • Lead regional child health programs including screening, immunisation, and health checks
  • Coordinate and deliver school screening programs across the region
  • Support and build capability of remote clinical teams
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and training to nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners
  • Monitor program performance, KPIs, and contribute to service planning and improvement
  • Work collaboratively with Health Centre Managers and multidisciplinary teams
