About this role
At Cooper University Health Care, the Registered RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. As a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, supervises and provides care utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures in the Intensive Care Nursery.
Provides care to high-risk newborns by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing respiratory support typical in NICU settings. Utilizes therapeutic use of self to support families during critical periods. Ensures patient safety through vigilant assessment and intervention.
Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors while providing excellent customer service. Interfaces well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians. Applies Cooper core values in daily interactions within the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements
- Must have 2 years minimum RN NICU experience
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Current NJ-CNOR (Certified Nurse, Operating Room) preferred
- Advanced certification such as NALS for certain specialties
- Experience providing care to high-risk newborns
- Knowledge of neonatal respiratory support and monitoring
