As a Patient Care Nurse Assistant, coordinate with fellow caregivers to create a welcoming, healing and warm environment for patients. Requirements
- Ability to work evenings from 11:00am-11:30pm, including rotating weekends and holidays
- Basic patient care skills under RN supervision
- Competence in vital signs monitoring and weight checks
- Skills in personal care assistance for patients
- Proficiency in point of care testing
- Experience applying external monitoring devices
- Knowledge of urinary catheter removal procedures
Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as checking vital signs and weight
- Assist patients with personal care
- Perform point of care testing
- Apply external monitoring devices
- Remove urinary Foley catheters
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN
- Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly
