About this role
The Nurse Manager plays a key leadership role within the nursing and clinical teams, overseeing daily clinical and operational functions to ensure seamless patient care across the care continuum. This dynamic leader manages clinical excellence and operational performance while prioritizing patient care. Reporting to the Director of Patient Care Service, you develop, implement, and evaluate systems that promote high-quality, cost-effective, and safe care.
Oversee clinical and operational workflows for seamless patient integration and service efficiency. Lead quality and safety initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and execute financial and productivity initiatives. Collaborate with division leadership to monitor quality and safety across the care continuum while identifying evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety.
Develop and maintain high engagement, visibility, and accountability within the healthcare team to achieve organizational goals. Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, accountability, and mutual respect within inter-professional care teams. Provide education, coaching, and guidance to staff for adherence to clinical standards.
Manage performance, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies. Lead continuous quality improvement through data analysis and KPIs. Emory Healthcare offers ongoing mentorship, development, and leadership programs in a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ICU nursing experience
- Nursing leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of clinical standards and best practices
- Ability to manage diverse workforce and staffing needs
- Proficiency in quality improvement and data analysis
- Familiarity with Magnet model principles
- Problem-solving skills for operational challenges
