About this role

Supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures while communicating openly with internal customers and supervisors.

Cooper University’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 35-bed level 3 nursery set up in smaller pods holding up to 4 infants, except the Transitional nursery which holds up to 12 infants preparing for discharge. Staff care for infants as young as 23 weeks gestation requiring surgical interventions and respiratory support from nasal cannula up to high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide.
